We are very honoured to have been nominated and then selected as a finalist in the UTS Startups Awards for 2019.
We’ve made it to the shortlist for the Best Application of Research category, which means so much to us because research is at the heart of everything that we do. We founders are researchers alongside everything else we do and our hope for BrillUp is that it can continue to learn and contribute back what we learn.
But it’s not enough just to do the research – for that research to have any meaningful effect it needs to inform and be used – instead of collecting dust on a bookshelf or, these days, a dropbox folder somewhere.
That’s why we are so incredibly proud of what we’re building at BrillUp because it is a chance to better understand how we can help people to take control of their futures and thrive in this changing economy AND apply what we learn to actually make the changes needed.
